Afternoon.... Kiera and I have been playing in my scrap room all afternoon, while we have not actually put blade to paper, we have been doing some great shopping! Hey... I didnt say that we were scrapping, did i!? Hahahaha. Anyway... Kiera decided that she wanted to do an album like my "remember when" Teresa Collins Album that I created for Allcraftz last year, although with a love theme. So onto the computer we jumped to try and find somewhere that we could find the entire range at the same time as having reasonable postage.

We discovered a Fairfield, NSW based shop which I have to PLUG! They not only have free postage for orders over $45 (a small amount in the big scheme, i know) but they also have awesome prices on October Afternoon Stamps. Stamps that we have seen online today, for up to $29.95 at some Australian stores, for a tiny $12.95. Obviously, since I LOVE journalling blocks, I will be making the most of the tiny price tags and popping some of this goodness in the mail for me. Happy mail for meeeeeee.... yippppeeeee.

Just thought I would share the site with you all especially since we are pulling in the belts during this "econom. crisis". They have definately earned a place in my "plug" list. Especially when you look at it the way I am... 2 stamp sets for the price of one. Sounds good, doesn't it!? (hahaha)
Love and hugs and happy sundays to you all.

The count down is on...

It is sunday night and while I wait for home made sausage rolls to cook in the oven I figured what better way to wait then by dropping a quick note at what has become a dusty sad excuse for a blog. Who would have ever thunk that this used to be the blog of a dedicated scrapper!?

These days, it has become the withered remains of a scrappers hide away... oh my gosh, that sounds so sad...
What else is sad is the fact that I have this uncanny ability to ramble on about crap when I actually came here with the intention of saying hi and sharing my excitement that I have started my count down ... that only two shifts remain at my old workplace and then I am on to better things and the best part... that I will be regaining my life! I can't wait.

Oh yeah... and one other thing... to share a pic or two from Friday night. It was a great night and I got to do the time warp twice. Once was the regular version, and then, in their finale, they did a little bit of an x rated one.... ofcourse, I just joined right in with everyone else, and put my hands on my hips, my tits and my bits, (changed for each verse... I only have two hands so ofcourse I was not doing all that, at once!) bent my knees in time and did the time warp again!!!!

Its great sometimes when you go out somewhere and you don't know a soul! hahaha.

So I will leave you with this photo, which was taken back stage after the show ( i know, pretty damn cool huh!?)

Love and hugsxxxx

It's just a jump to the left....

And then a step to the right.... You know the words.... Sing it with me!!!

With your hands on your hips
You bring your knees in tight
But it's the pelvic thrust that really drives you insane,
Let's do the Time Warp again!

In just a little over 4 hours time I will be sitting front row of the Rocky Horror Picture Show stage show. Would you believe that I have never seen it live? I have only seen the movie a few times though know all the songs.... I was so green with envy when Cath went to see it last year (or was it this year!?) I wanted to see it so badly... Well.. tonight is my chance!!
I can't wait!

Re: my last post.... Thanks to Cath and Estavalia for their congratulations.... I have given my notice... lets say that I was met with icy stares and the whole news went down like the Titanic!
It has been a chilly few days at work, though nothing I can't handle. I had one of the dentists say that its the best thing for me, that he knows that my mind would turn to mush if i stayed, and that he was infact sure that there were 30000 better places than our work place in which i could work. He says that it will do me the world of good... and.. that he will miss me. Awww.
I have decided to stay until tuesday. (i know, how rude of me not to give them two weeks notice- Tough!)... and the only reason behind that is because by doing so, it is more hours sick + holiday pay that I will be paid out and I get a few extra days work pay as well instead of just finishing today and taking what leave entitlements I was owed.

I can justify it simply by "we are buying a house now you know!" hahahah.

Speaking of, we should be signing the contracts any day... the first home buyers scheme cut off is quickly coming to an end!

Damn it... I forgot what else I was going to say, so I guess I will just shut up now and say...

It's astounding, time is fleeting....
I have a show to go get ready for..,.
Mwah.

The Tides are a changin'

Well here I am, a little later than promised, but here none the less. The best bit is, I come bearing news like I had hoped to share!

This morning I got a call from The Royal Melbourne Dental Hospital offering me a position on their dental health team. I am so excited and relieved that I can leave the current working conditions behind me! So excited that, as soon as I got home (i was on my way to another interview at the hospital when i got the news) I promptly crawled into bed and slept! I think the stress of the last few months and the sudden realization that it is all behind me hit me and my body just said "okay.. ENOUGH already!! Sleep now!"

So what could I do? I don't like to argue with myself, so I did... I slept and slept and a few times I woke and wondered if i had been dreaming. Guess what? I wasn't!!

So there you go... the tides are a changing... I am no longer going to have to try and keep my head above water (stress wise) in an place where management would rather see me drown, and finally, I will be able to touch the bottom and go through life, swimmingly.

Because I was having such a good day today and had a full fare, full day train ticket, when I got off the train I wrote a nice little message on the ticket and placed it into the machine ticket slot, so the next person that was needing to buy a ticket, would see it and take it.
"Please take this ticket as a gesture of good will. It is valid until midnight. I hope that you have as wonderful a day as I am having! xx".
I challenge you to do something nice for a stranger tomorrow. It will make you feel so good and be the icing on your cake!
I would love to hear what you do!
Anyway, thats all from me for now... hopefully now that I will be working decent hours, and coming home at a decent hour and be no longer doing weekends, you will hear from me more often.
Love and misses.
